How long will it take for my photo to appear?

Normal-posting time for photos is 24-48 hours. Our team must approve each photo to maintain the quality of matches available through Horseandcountrysingles.com. It could take longer than if we have a high volume of photo's coming in. If you are concerned please just contact us



How do I create an Album for my additional photos ?


Make sure you're logged in and Click the Media link in the top sub-menu a drop down will appear click the link pictures page appears click the link on the right of the page Manage Pictures a new page will appear then click the tab Add Picture and follow the instrcutions on the page.


Can I restrict who is able to view my photos?

Yes, when you upload a photo you will asked to select from the following options:

  • Include picture in ratings
  • Mark picture as adult
  • Allow comments
  • Album cover


What are the guidelines for posting a photo?

When you create a profile, you can post up to ten photos of yourself. You can upload images directly from your computer.


Photo Guidelines

  • Choose a solo head shot for your main display photo, that appears as icon with your profile information
  • Photos of cartoon characters or celebrities are copyrighted and cannot be posted.
  • Nudity, obscenity, sexual or otherwise offensive photos will not be posted.
  • Horseandcountrysingles.com may choose not to post any photo at their sole discretion.
  • We accept most image formats (e.g Jpg, Gif, Bmp, Png and others).
  • Image files can be no larger than 1.5MB.

How do I search for Members?
You can either use the simple Search or Advanced from the top toolbar.
Follow these simple tips to get the most out of the search facility. 

ZIP CODE SEARCH 

1. Remember to use the location search which now includes ZIP code search for the whole of the USA. 
2. If you type in a zip code and no results appear increase the radius of your search and type part of the zip code. 
3. If you are getting no results when you type use the state search try a city search. 

SAVE YOUR SEARCH RESULTS
1. To save your searches first carry out a search by entering the criteria in the search form. 
2. Once the results of the search are listed on the pages click the "Save It Tab" on the top menu. 
3. In the Box which says "save this search" enter a name for these results for example male, 18- 30 USA, Texas and click the submit button. 
4. To view your saved search results navigate to the search page and then click the "Saved Search" Tab. 
5. From the Saved Searches page your searches will be listed and you will be able to delete remove searches and even receive and RSS feed.

How do I search by location?

You can refine your search by city, state/county and Post Code/ Zip code. Simply go to the search page and select the location with the other criteria you are looking for.


I have carried out a search but I'm not getting many or no results?

If you are using the customize search you may have been to specific with your criteria, try broadening your criteria, by leaving some options with no preference ------------- this will bring more results.


I've created a profile, but it doesn't show up when I search?

If your profile isn't appearing, check the following: Login, then go to Edit Profile and make sure the information you filled in is appearing. Also please be aware that all accounts and profiles must be approved by our admin team, this can can between 12 - 48 hours. If you still having further problems contact us


How do I send an e-mail to members?

You can send e-mail to users by clicking the button Send a message or Send a e-card on that persons profile or listing. Simply type in your message or select a card you wish to send and click the Send button.

How do I block unwanted contact from a particular member?

While viewing members profiles you will see an orange Block Member link on the right hand side of members profiles, click this link and the member will be addes to your block list. Which you can view and edit by going to Network which is located in the 2nd top sub menu a drop down will appear click block list After you have added someone to your Block List you will not receive any notifications, cards or e-mails from this particular member unless you remove him or her from the Block List. This feature helps you limit your contacts with people you don't want to be contacted by.


How do have a private chat with an Online member?

You must first be a registered member and logged in to your account; click the Online list and select the member you wish to chat with. Then just select the Chat Now link. 


How is the mail I send to other members anonymous?

We respect your privacy and will keep your actual email address confidential. You'll never see it or your full email address


How do Upgrade to Premium Membership?

Login into your account then navigate to click the Settings link in the top sub-menu a drop down will appear click the link Upgrade Membership page appears click Tab Upgrade Account select the package you wish to purchase by clicking the orange link a new page will appear make sure the package selction is correct, then click the button Check Out with Paypal. You will then be redirected to Paypal's secure payment pages. Once payment has been made your account will automatically upgrade giving you full access to all premium services.

What happens to my profile when my premium membership expires?

Your Profile and Photos will remain live on the site unless you choose to permanently delete them from our database and your membership gets downgraded to Basic membership with limited access.


How do I add a member to my friends list?

When you view the members profile on the left hand side below the photo there are a number of links Add to friends click this to add them to your friends list.


How do I remove a member from my friends list?

Make sure you're logged in and Click the Network link in the top sub-menu a drop down will appear click the link Friends a page appears listing all your friends, click the remove link to take someone off you freinds list.
